The knock sensor warning appears as a check engine light with knock sensor codes (P0325-P0334). Knock sensors detect engine detonation (abnormal combustion) and allow the computer to adjust ignition timing to prevent engine damage.
What Is Engine Knock?
Normal combustion spreads smoothly across the cylinder.
